European Reminiscence Network Conference — Prague, Czech Republic

Imagining a Workplace Where Reminiscence Belongs

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

European Reminiscence Network Conference 2025

Marisa Toldo, founder of Porto Dome, shared her vision-in-progress: a workplace retrofit concept that welcomes older adults, integrates intergenerational presence, and brings reminiscence practices into the rhythm of daily work.

In this interactive session, participants explored how life-story corners, memory walls, shared songs, and lunchtime storytelling could be embedded into office design — transforming workplaces into intergenerational ecosystems where employees, children, and elders engage meaningfully.

Toldo emphasized that Porto Dome is not yet a pilot but a call to imagine: how memory-sharing, often confined to care homes or schools, could become part of everyday professional life. The session invited stories, hopes, and cautions from attendees — shaping a bold conversation about dignity, memory, and innovation at work.

Hosted by the European Reminiscence Network.
